Engineered Oak Brushed Oiled, 18/5 x 150 x RL

Meet the smoked brushed oiled floor in our 18mm engineered floor range. It has the same thickness as traditional English solid parquet, but being the toughest engineered floor, it will not bring you the headache of old solid floor like cupping and crack noise. The benefit of 18mm thickness is that, if you have an old Victorian house and you want to replace the old parquet, you can do it without completely stripping out the old skirting board that you loved, same time and same money! In order to have a smoked effect look, the 3mm fine oak top layer are first stored in high temperature environment for up to 30 days. After intensive sanding and smoothing, 3 coats of oil is applied under high voltage light to give it the toughest surface, suitable for most domestic environment, or light commercial use under regular maintenance. Because the surface has been lightly brushed, so it gives the floor good anti-slip effect, while preventing dirt trapped inside the groove as seen in many heavily brushed wooden floor. You can secure the floor to the ground by adhesive or by high pressure nailer, or you can also choose one of our foam underlay with foil vapour control barrier to quickly and easily float install the floor.
